Balvanyos
Balvanyos is located in the Bodoc mountains at an altitude of over 840 m. Here the air is fresh and clean, quiet and a beautiful landscape. The resort has very good treatment options, with better sources of mineral water and other natural healing factors. The spa is located near the town Sfântu Gheorghe in the district Covasna.
The lake Sfânta Ana, at a distance of 10 km from the spa Balvanyos is a lake that has volcanic origins, where rare species of flora occur, and it was declared a nature reserve.
Băile Balvanyos, as it is now, was formed by three colonies of ancient baths. One is located just beside the Balvanyos Pucioasa cave of Turia.
The many sources, whose waters derive their therapeutic qualities from their minerals, but also the post-volcanic emanations (wells), offer the resort good conditions for rest and treatment.

Contraindications:
Not recommended for those with malignant tumors, psychiatric diseases, diseases of nature tuberculosis, infectious diseases and women more than three months pregnant.
Climate:
Located at an altitude of 840m-950m, the spa has a temperate, restful environment with a temperature of 25-32 degrees Celsius in summer and in winter -5 to -19 degrees Celsius. The air is fresh and clean, with relatively low clouds. Winds are weak due to the protection afforded by mountains.
