Ianca

Ianca is a town in Brăila County, Romania. The city had a population of 12,886 people, making it Brăila County's second-largest city.

The first mention of the city dates to 1834. There is a slaughter house called BONA AVIS.

The area administrated by the town has 186 km², of which 10,9 km² have the residential area status and is divided in seven administrative areas: Ianca, Perişoru, Plopu, Berleşti, Oprişeneşti and Târlele Filiu

It is also well known for its huge military base which will be transformed into a civil airport.
